Marcus Vinicius Miguel Pedro is an Oracle Senior DBA and has several Oracle Certifications. Marcus Vinicius has more than 14 years working with Oracle Products, focusing in Oracle Database, since version 8.
Is a specialist in design and implement high-availability solutions for Oracle Databases in the platforms: Linux, HP-UX, Solaris and AIX. Also, has great expertise in recover databases due disaster situations. Marcus Vinicius was also responsible to identify issues with performance and worked in tuning the performance issues to achieve better performance in databases. Marcus Vinicius has also great experience working with definition and implementation for backup and recovery policies.
In 2010 become Oracle ACE.
Since 2011 is a board member for Brazilian Oracle Users Group (GUOB).
Marcus Vinicius worked for 9 years (2005-2014) in Discover Technology, one of the biggest Oracle Partners in Brazil. Working for Discover, was responsible for design and implementation for a lot of high-availability projects on medium and enteprise companies. In the last 2 years working for Discover, Marcus Vinicius worked as IT Operations Manager, leading a team with more than 30 members.
In 2014 was removed from Oracle ACE Program (becoming an ACE Alumni) since started to work for Oracle Brazil, company that works between 2014 and 2018, in Advanced Customer Services. Working for Oracle, Marcus Vinicius was responsible to help a lot of big customers on performance and tuning situations, data corruption and disaster recover, planing migrations and implemented them. For the last 2 years working for Oracle, Marcus Vinicius worked as a Techinical Lead in an operation with database, middleware, Siebel and Hyperion members.
Since 2018 July, Marcus Vinicius is working on Accenture Enkitec Group, a notable company with a lot of Oracle Gurus around the world. Marcus is working focused in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Terraform, OCI-CLI, Ansible and also with Core Database tasks and migrations.
In 2018 August, Marcus Vinicius was nominated an Oracle ACE again.
